Salih Korkut Peker is a London based Anatolian music maker. He combines many different genres in his music; from grunge to blues, from rock to arabesque, from rebetiko to Anatolian folk… He uses new generation hybrid instruments such as cümbüş (a 95-year-old invention, a mix of banjo and oud), fretless guitar, çağlama (hard tension guitar strings on saz body) and divane (saz body with lute sound) on his stage.
Beside his solo career, he is a member of the bands Yasak Helva (electric folk power trio), Duble Salih (alternative acoustic folk duo) and Traditional Mutant (improvisational Anatolian duo). Played hundreds of gigs around the world and released 3 albums and 8 singles with all of his projects.
